Natasha Freimark

Recipient of the 2019 Alumni Service Award

 

An engaged and energetic mentor, volunteer, and professional, Natasha Freimark has used her eclectic skill set to bring impressive change and thoughtful leadership to the University, its students, and alumni throughout the years. After graduating from the College of Liberal Arts with a B.A. in Journalism in 1995, Freimark began a distinguished career in the marketing industry, recently making the move to the Dallas/Fort Worth area to work as the Director of Marketing and Events at Fort Worth Magazine. With continued dedication the U of M community, Freimark’s influence crosses state borders as well as rallies within them — from promoting Gopher alumni events in North Texas to participating in flash mentorship via the Maroon and Gold Network online platform.

Having served on the UMAA board of directors from 2011-2018 as well as it’s Business Model Task Force, Friemark has championed ongoing strategic change within the organization. With a focus on supporting recent graduates preparing to enter the workforce, Friemark co-chaired the UMAA Student and Recent Alumni Council, inspiring volunteerism and engagement in events such as UMAA’s Day of Service, Emerging Professionals networking series and Behind the Scenes events.
Whether she’s providing mentorship support to students, networking with alumni, or serving as a board member for nonprofits, Freimark leads by example in everything she does.
