Imee Cambronero

Recipient of the 2021 Alumni Service Award

Throughout her education and service, Imee Cambronero has demonstrated grit, passion, and loyalty when it comes to her alma mater. Graduating from the University of Minnesota with a Bachelor of Science in Biology in 2004 and a Master of Public Health in 2009, Cambronero started her service while still in school as the GAPSA student representative to the Board of Regents and was awarded the prestigious Presidential Student Leadership and Service Award for her work. In 2012, Imee joined the School of Public Health (SPH) Alumni Society board, and served as board president from 2017-2019. With an accomplished career leading social impact evaluation for 3MGives, Imee has generously shared her time, knowledge, skills, and resources with the SPH. Her service includes serving on the school’s cabinet for the Driven. campaign, acting as event emcee at the Shaping a Future of Health campaign launch, welcoming students to the alumni community as a speaker at SPH commencement, and sharing her professional expertise as an instructor in the school’s Public Health Institute.

As an advocate, instructor, mentor, and connector, Cambronero has been a pivotal ally and role model for alumni across the School of Public Health and the University of Minnesota networks. Imee’s service as a highly engaged alum throughout the years has helped build a stronger, more dedicated network of alumni leaders that will benefit the school and university far into the future.
