ALUMNI SERVICE AWARD
This award recognizes the service of volunteers who have had a major impact on the University, its schools, colleges, departments, or faculty, or to the University of Minnesota Alumni Association (UMAA) or any of its constituent groups.
ADVOCATE OF THE YEAR
This award celebrates an exceptional individual who speaks out about the need for strong state support of the University of Minnesota and higher education policies. Furthermore, this individual informs others in her/his own networks of the importance of the University within the state.
COMMUNITY LEADER AWARD
This award celebrates an exceptional individual who has demonstrated
an extraordinary commitment to better their community. Whether through
professional or volunteer service, this alum makes a significant and
positive impact on the lives of others and embodies the values of
diversity, equity, inclusion and social justice.
ON THE RISE AWARD
This award celebrates a recent graduate of the University (graduated less than 10 years ago) who demonstrates promising contributions to their career, a spirit of service and commitment to their community and understands the value of a relationship with their alma mater.
U40 ALUMNI LEADER AWARD
This award celebrates an exceptional individual who has excelled in a career and/or public service and is 40 years of age or younger.
ENTREPRENEURIAL SPIRIT AWARD
This award is designed to celebrate the value of entrepreneurship and innovation across the University community. This award is presented to an individual who demonstrates a commitment to business and economic development. The contribution and leadership of this individual was a catalyst for job creation, smart growth/development, or economic improvement in their community. This individual embodies the entrepreneurial spirit and innovative thinking.
PROGRAM EXTRAORDINAIRE
This award celebrates exceptional alumni programs sponsored by a collegiate unit, alumni society or alumni network.
OUTSTANDING ALUMNI NETWORK
This award celebrates the outstanding total programming efforts of an alumni network in support of the Alumni Association and the University of Minnesota. Located around the world, alumni networks are essential for connecting alumni to each other and the University.

DISTINGUISHED LEADERSHIP AWARD FOR INTERNATIONALS
This award celebrates the outstanding total programming efforts of an alumni network in support of the Alumni Association and the University of Minnesota. Located around the world, alumni networks are essential for connecting alumni to each other and the University. The Distinguished Leadership Award for Internationals is a University-wide award for alumni, former students, and friends of the University who have distinguished themselves in their post-university work as leaders in their professional careers. This award is jointly sponsored by the Global Programs and Strategy Alliance (GPS Alliance) and the University of Minnesota Alumni Association (UMAA).
